Jesus taught us to pray, “Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This immediately refers to Christ’s victory over the rebellious angels. But what that results in is peace in heaven, the topic of our message today, and the focus of our 2nd week of Advent. Christ accomplished peace in heaven, and we receive that peace with God on earth. And in the end, what has been done in heaven will finally be accomplished on earth — Peace.

ADVENT is as much about remembering the birth of Jesus and the peace with God as it is an anticipation of the fulfillment of peace on earth, goodwill toward men.
