Striving Together
Striving Together | Romans 15:22–33 (Romans 16:1–16) | Palmdale Church
What does it really mean to be the church? In this message from Romans 15 and 16, we explore how the church is more than a building or a service—it’s the gathered people of God, striving together in faith, friendship, and prayer.
Pastor Anthony unpacks three biblical ways we are called to engage in the life of the church:
1. Make Friends at Church – We share a deep, spiritual bond in Christ that transcends differences. Gospel-centered friendships are a key part of our transformation and mission.
2. Be Vulnerable with Friends at Church – True Christian community supports one another in practical and personal ways. Ministry doesn’t just happen from the pulpit; it happens in the relationships we build.
3. Pray for Church Leaders – The call to strive together includes lifting up pastors and elders through faithful prayer as they lead and serve the church.
This message is a call to reject a consumer mindset and embrace the church as a relational, Spirit-formed community—striving together toward Christlikeness.
