On Christian Obedience | Romans 16:17–27 | Palmdale Church

What does it mean to live in obedience to King Jesus?

In this final sermon from our series in Romans, we reflect on Paul’s closing words to the church—words that challenge us to respond to the reality that Jesus is both King of Heaven and King of Earth. If this is true, then our lives must be marked by faithful obedience to Him.

📖 In this message, we explore:

The dangers of disobedience and those who serve their own appetites (vv. 17–18)

The visible marks of obedient Christians (vv. 19–20)

Real-life examples of obedience from Paul’s companions (vv. 21–23)

And the sources of strength that empower us to live obediently (vv. 25–27)

Paul’s benediction reminds us that obedience isn’t self-powered—it’s fueled by the gospel, by the preaching of Jesus, and by the revealed mystery of Christ’s death, resurrection, and reign.

Join us as we conclude Romans by fixing our eyes on the One who is worthy of our full allegiance.
