Where is Palmdale, CA?

Palmdale City is in the western region of the Mojave Desert in the state of California. It is one of two cities located both in the Mojave Desert and in Los Angeles County. The neighboring city, Lancaster, is the other. Palmdale is in a region called the Antelope Valley, in the western part of the Mojave Desert, which also encompasses portions of Kern County and San Bernardino County. Palmdale’s only freeway is the 14 Freeway, which runs north to south through the Antelope Valley, beginning in Santa Clarita and ending north of Mojave. Highway 138 meanders through rural neighboring lands in the west, through Palmdale, and ends at the I15 Junction to the East.
